A dedicated Fort Plank Historian preserving the documentary memory of Colonial Upstate New York.
Ken D. Johnson has spent years collecting, transcribing, and interpreting Mohawk Valley historical records. His work emphasizes primary-source evidence and the careful reconstruction of family, military, land, and community history.
His research interests include pension applications, land deeds, mortgages, maps, tax rolls, church records, personal journals, military correspondence, merchant ledgers, and Revolutionary War documents connected to Colonial Fort Plank and Tryon County.
